Are you guys seeing less and less engagement lately? Or the followers are not increasing like before? Well, it is highly that you are posting on the wrong time.


Let's work on the schedule and this will help you gain that traction again.


What Is the Best Time to Post on Social Media?

Let's get real! There is no perfect timing to post on Social Media for every business. This all goes down to your what kind of business do you do, and who is your audiences.


What I am sharing is a basic guideline for those just starting their business. This would be a great start to test out which works and which don't.

Social Media Tips - Facebook best performing time.

1. Facebook

Currently, with over 2 billions users on Facebook, it has not been easier to get traffic. Facebook has moved to become a pay per click platform, however, that does not stop you from gaining any organic traffic.


For B2B brands, the best day to post on Facebook would be on Tuesday and Wednesday. Whilst for B2C brands, from Wednesday to Saturday. Timing-wise, Facebook audiences tend to be more active during lunch time, from 12pm to 2pm and dinner timer at around 8pm.

2. Instagram

Instagram uses the latest post algorithm but does not display them in chronological order. Hence, the best engagement is to post during peak hours.


Similarly, you should check your Instagram analytics to get a more accurate best performing time for your brands. In general, Instagram works best on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday between 7pm to 9pm as well as during lunch time from 11 are to 2pm.


For maximum engagement take advantage of Instagram Stories to capture your audience attention.

3. LinkedIn

Being the hub and the best business platform with over 303 million active monthly users, LinkedIn is becoming more than just a platform to connect with colleagues. Companies are using LinkedIn pages to build a reputation for their brand.


Create compelling content and post it up on Tuesday and Wednesday for best engagement. LinkedIn users tend to be online right before work from 7 is from 9am as well as after working hours from 5pm to 6pm.

4. Pinterest

The Pinterest algorithm is different from the other Social Media channels. In 2020, Pinterest announces that they will be showing Pins that you've never seen before.


There are two peak times on Pinterest, from 8pm to 11pm and 2am on Saturday and Sunday. Do note that Pinterest does not do well on weekdays, so put more effort during the weekends for this channel.

5. TikTok

We see a spike in users of TikTok mostly from youngsters. TikTok is a content-driven platform.


Generally, we can say that TikTok engagement happens almost every day with the best timing being after dinner at 8pm to 12am. Do check your audience geographic to check on what would be the best time, as you don't want to be posting when your viewers are sleeping.
